This course is aimed at ST3+ Gastroenterology and Colorectal Surgery, Nurse Endoscopists, Staff Grades. Applicants will be expected to be in a relevant placement and have access to 6 months worth of Colonoscopy lists after the course date. Applicants will need to complete a pre-course assessment and need to obtain the approval of their Educational Supervisor. All applications are reviewed by the faculty for approval before a place is allocated. Learning Outcomes? The course will include: Indication, Contra indication, Complications Preparation for colonoscopy, Consent, Sedation Scope handling & principles of torque steering Loop Recognition and resolution Applicants will gain hands on training using a live feed from the endoscopy room |
